please explain about the "1600" letters, as you can imagine, if theres a media blackout in Quebec, I have absolutely no chance of getting info in Washington.
The credit really goes to Maluhia for bringing this to our attention in another thread, the link is this one:
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=7815&p=128549#p128549Even the documentary's screenwriter was totally taken a back by this when I showed it to her. So far I haven't met a single Quebecker yet -not one- who has heard about this piece of news. You'd think that this would be all over the news, as it concerns us directly. By what right does he arrogantly go about such unilateral declarations without our consent, without our awareness!?
It really looks as though he was warning the political/economic actors to plan their future according to such a reality, a bit like a chunk of friendly forecasting advice, to make sure that they aren't "taken by surprise" when it happens in a couple of years from now.
Mahalo for the credit!
I'm surprised that you never saw that document before I showed it to you, nor did the screenwriter. I wonder what effect this might have on people in Quebec if this is shown in the documentary, I wonder. But also its great that your giving an alternative to full independence.... Making people think of the open possibilities that there are before the storm hits is always a good thing to do. What might have happen then and after the referendum without a heads up could have worked in Ottawa's favor, now if this is published within the documentary there might be a back lashing towards Ottawa. Hopefully this documentary does opens not only some people's eyes, but also their minds as well...
Also I'm starting to wonder about what the f*** Ottawa's politicians are trying to do... First it's the media blackout about the referendum and now
The Brian's Law... Given with what one of my friends from British Columbia said if Canadians are talking more about the US' political follies, then it would not only make it easier to control their own political media but also help to turn Canadians against such a Unification. One thing I learned about media in my media & design classes is to be careful on how you present things, sometimes you might present unwanted results towards your audience. I should start keeping tabs on Ottawa, see what other dirty little secrets they might be hiding that I can find.
